U.S. Manufacturing Exported to 234 Countries in 2013


In 2013, the United States exported manufactured products to 234 countries, with most going to just a few areas; exports to the top 10 countries and regions made up 72% of the total.

Canada and Mexico are natural markets for our products considering their proximity and they are the top two destinations for U.S. manufacturers. NAFTA allows U.S. manufacturers to take advantage of the nations’ beneficial industry and cost structures and optimize their supply chains by exporting components and intermediate products to affiliate manufacturing companies for further processing.

The Eurozone received 13% of U.S. manufacturing’s exports in 2013, making it the third largest export destination. China continues to be a common export destination.
